Happy Anniversary!

I can't believe it! Today we are spending the day together (I'm actually off work on a Saturday!) and then going out tonight for a fancy dinner. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my day. I'm a lucky gal!

Vacation Time!

I don't know about you, but after a hectic summer, I'm ready for a little vacation! This week we are headed to Portland and Seattle to explore and relax. Tim and I have never seen this part of the country before and can't wait to wander around and take some photos. I also have a little surprise in store for Tim since next week is our one year anniversary! I can't believe it has been nearly a year since our wedding, where has the time gone?

I hope to have lots to share when we return!

Blogshop Chicago was a BLAST!

I had SOOOOO much fun in Chicago at Blogshop. I learned so many neat new things and was creatively rejuvenated! It was exactly what I needed. We had two days of intense learning and on the second day got to do a little shopping & lunching at Vintage Charm in La Grange. It was such a cool store and the shop owners were so nice to have us!

Form Contemporary Design Show

Happy (almost) Weekend!! Tomorrow we are headed to the Form Design Show in South City and I can't wait. We are in the process of trying to decide how to re-do our kitchen and I am hoping to get very inspired.

Recent Work: Johnny

One of my favorite boys ever turned one in June, and I finally made it over to take some much needed one-year-old pics. Johnny just started walking and is SUPER independent so I spent the afternoon following him around while he sang the alphabet and talked (he has his own secret language). His smile seriously melts my heart... Enjoy!

We have Peaches!

This week has been so very busy. I have a ton of editing to catch up on after an impromptu trip to the Lake last week! I've been gearing up for my big trip to Chicago  (22 days!) and have been using whatever free time I have to take some photos of what's happening in our garden. Our new place has this amazing peach tree in the backyard and we've been waiting all summer for the peaches to ripen. Unfortunately between the squirrels and our "peach bandit" we haven't actually been able to enjoy any peaches yet...

Recent Work: Max

 Max was born cool. He's got super cool parents, super cool hair, and super cool clothes (He wore baby jeans and a sleeveless white shirt to our shoot). I've had the pleasure of knowing Max's mom Rebecca for the past 7 years, and was so excited when she asked me to take his newborn photos. Aside from being one of the coolest babies in town, Max is a total sweetheart. With his big brown eyes and curly dark hair he just melts my heart. Congrats Rebecca and Herb (and congrats Max for being born into such a fun family!) Enjoy...

Recent Work: Twins!

What a lovely weekend it was! I spent my weekend taking photos and doing some much needed landscaping (despite the insane heat we survived!) Saturday I started out my morning with a long walk to downtown Webster with Tim and the dogs. We're loving our new neighborhood and its walkability (Tim says he feels very European since we can walk to the Bread Company, lol). After that I headed right across the street to shoot a family session with Jenny and Guy and their one-year-old twins. These kids are seriously adorable! Shooting twins is always exciting because it's so neat to see them interact and capture their little personalities on camera. They had the cutest expressions, which made my job very easy! Enjoy...

 

Recent Work: A Jumble of Projects + Happy Weekend!

What is everyone up to this weekend? We have a landscaping extravaganza planned for Sunday that I am not super excited about... I'm sure I will be glad when it's done, but I REALLY don't want to spend my entire day in the heat (it's supposed to get up to 95!). I've been super busy this week planning some exciting upcoming projects that I can't wait to share, but for now I'll leave you with a few personal images from the last few weeks...

Recent Work: Love + Birthdays

We are off to Florida for the weekend for my Birthday!!! This year it is my "golden birthday" (25 on the 25th) and I will be celebrating with Tim and my close friends in Florida who are driving over to spend the day with us. I think 25 is going to be a fantastic year :)

Recent Work: A Retro Inspired Engagement Session

Stephanie and Chris are so much fun to be around. They are just so happy! While editing their photos I kept catching myself smiling like crazy - their personalities just do that to you. One of the best parts of this job is getting to see two people in love and catching that in an image. Stephanie and Chris make that part easy! Their engagement session was so relaxed and laid back. We wandered all around my favorite park (Tower Grove) and checked out some of the vintage shops along Morganford and got some really amazing shots. Enjoy...

Recent Work: A Vintage Inspired Engagement Session

Laura and Pat are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They are so fun to be around that this photo session didn't even feel like work! We spent nearly two hours traveling around Benton Park and Soulard (did I mention Pat and Laura are also very patient?) looking for fun places to take photos. I have to say this was one of my favorite sessions ever, and I am so excited to see what they have in store for their wedding day!
